Monday, June 30 @6:00 p.m. Baywatch Dolphin Tour, Yaga’s Cafe casual and lively in Galveston’s Historic Strand District

pACKING lIST

  • Laptop and charger

  • Favorite pen and notebook

  • Any and all materials pertaining to your book

  • That book you’ve been meaning to read

  • Phone and charger

  • Noise-cancelling headphones (if desired)

  • Favorite water bottle

  • Yoga mat (if desired)

  • Sunscreen

  • Insect repellent (it’s summer in Texas, y’all!)

  • Swimsuit (if desired)

  • Beach shoes (water shoes, crocs, flip flops, sandals, etc.)

  • Sun hat

  • Umbrella

  • Poncho/light rain jacket

  • Medications and supplements

  • Favorite cosmetics (makeup optional)

  • Casual summer clothes (linen, shorts, tank tops, palazzo pants, sun dresses, etc)

  • Light jacket or wrap in case the A/C or night winds are breezy

  • Any super-specific snacks or drinks you must have to feel complete


Lodging

ALL ATTENDEES have a private room with an ensuite bathroom waiting for you.

You’ll receive check-in instructions 48 hrs before. You may check in after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27 and must check out by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1. (I will request early check-in and late check-out, but that’s not guaranteed)

I strongly encourage you to arrive the day before and leave the day after so you don’t miss anything June 28-30.


AIR TRAVEL

There are two airports with service to Houston. It's easy to get an Uber/Lyft or taxi to and from either. If you prefer to rent a car, there’s ample parking at the retreat venue and the beach house.

GETTING AROUND

Uber and Lyft drivers are plentiful. 

There is parking at the retreat location in case you’re driving in or renting a car.

The area is safe for walking, but be mindful of the heat and sun.

I don't recommend the bus system because it doesn't have a reputation for reliability.
